Sunday- arrival. You will be picked up at the airport.
Monday-
8.30- 10.00: Tour around the school, see our poster exhibition on our project work. Teachers to headmaster’s office, students hang out with each other ;-)
10.00- 11.40: Sightseeing in town with students and Kari
11.40-12.10:lunch- students have packed lunch from their hosts ,teachers in staff room
12.10- 14.00: students together with their hosts in class, teachers to café . NB:Spanish students follow a Spanish class with teacher Lena in room 23, 2nd floor from 12.45-14.00.
14.00-15.30:Visit the Polar Museum http://www.polarmuseum.no/en/

Tuesday-
8.30.10.00: Visit some classes while the Norwegian students have a class.( Italian students (and teachers if you want to) follow teacher Ingrid to her Italian class in room 21, 2nd floor, German students follow teacher Ingejerd to her German class in room 14, 2nd floor, Greek students and teacher follow teacher Hege to her Chemistry class in room 41 (Chemistry lab, 3rd floor)

12.00-13.30: Polaria (Be there 11.45): exhibition on the Arctic, a 3dimentional film about Spitsbergen, an aquarium NB: feeding of seals 12.30 http://www.polaria.no/
14.00- Free time with Louise, Sandra, Eline, Sunniva and Natalie while the other Norwegian students have a class. Teachers have lunch in the staff room.
18.00-20: Aud Max: film based upon a Sami myth: Veiviseren; The Path Finder and the film based upon our project work http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pathfinder_(1987_film)

Wednesday:
8.30-11.00: Meet at school for bus departure ( in the music students’ canteen) or your hosts will accompany you directly to the bus stop (bus 37, 08.40 from Fredrik Lange’s Street). The Norwegian host students will not join us on this session. 9.00: University of Tromsø, Tromsø Museum, later bus to Senter of Science http://www2.uit.no/www/inenglish and http://nordnorsk.vitensenter.no/ . Lecture on mythology and see a film on the northern lights (aurora borealis).
11.00-11.30: return to school (by bus 20, 11.06 or 11.16)
11.30: Departure from school for dog sledding (in cars).
12.00-14.30: Visit to Tromsø Wilderness Center; dog sledding with Alaskan Huskies. Clothes and boots will be provided. Not all Norwegian students will join us.Bring hot dogs for barbeque in Sami tent afterwards. http://www.villmarkssenter.no/
Free time
20.00: Darklight (laser shooting) for students. Teachers have dinner at Kari’s
Thursday-
08.30-11.40: Climbing wall (for students).Teachers may have a sleep-in, go shopping etc.
11.40-12.10: lunch (teachers: staff room)
12.10-12.45: School consert, Aud Max.
13.15-14.00: Northern Norwegian Art Museum: Guided tour http://www.museumsnett.no/nordnorsk-kunstmuseum/frames.htm
17.00-19.00: Charlottenlund: outdoor activities; we make a bonfire, have a winter barbeque, drink hot chocolate, playing in the snow. We will bring some equipment so you can try skiing and skating .

Friday-
This day is devoted to the Sami culture.
8.30-9.00: meet at school, walk/bus to Tromsø Museum (Bus 37, 08.40 from Fredrik Lange’s street).
9.00-10.45: Tromsø Museum: guided tour, the Viking and the Sami exhibitions http://www2.uit.no/www/uitpluss/tmu?sprakkode=1 (Bus 37 from the museum at 10.47)
11.10-11.40: Assembly in the school gym. The whole school celebrates the Sami National Day. The Sami anthem will be sung.
11.40-12.20: lunch at school
12.20-13.50: Workshop on the Comenius project: our guests present their projects/make posters to be included in the exhibition in the hall
14.00-15.00: Sami market, Stortorget (Main Square)
15.00-18.00: Town Hall: official opening of the Sami week.
Final shopping, packing etc.
18-20.30: Farewell party with parents and students. Buffet: Finger food/snacks. Singing etc. Entertainment –by our guests;-). Staff room.
21.00: Open air consert, Sami artist. Stortorget ( Main Square)
